Looking for a hands on Health and Safety role where you can work closely with frontline teams and help shape a new operational Health & Safety programme? We're supporting one of the UK's largest Housing Associations in their search for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their growing Health and Safety team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive Health and Safety professional who enjoys being out in the operation, engaging with frontline teams and driving practical safety improvements. About the Role You'll support a large in house repairs and maintenance operation, working closely with operatives, supervisors and managers across repairs, voids, disrepair, estates and associated services. You'll typically spend 3 days a week out across sites and operational teams, with 2 days working remotely, providing practical advice, coaching and assurance while helping shape and embed a new operational Health and Safety programme. What You'll Be Doing * Providing practical Health and Safety advice to operational teams and managers * Carrying out site inspections, audits and assurance activity * Supporting and investigating accidents, incidents and near misses * Reviewing risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments and safe working procedures * Coaching supervisors and frontline teams on safe working practices * Delivering toolbox talks, briefings and safety communications What We're Looking For * Previous Health and Safety experience within a hands on, multisite operational environment such as - Repairs, Maintenance, Property Services, Estates, Hard FM, Local Authority, NHS or Higher Education for example. * NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate * Strong communication skills with the confidence to coach, influence and challenge frontline teams * Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle What's on Offer * Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience) * 35 hour working week with agile working - typically 3 days onsite / 2 days remote * Outstanding pension plan (up to 12% contribution) * 28 days annual leave, rising to 31 with service, plus bank holidays * Health Cash Plan, non-contributory life assurance, lifestyle benefits and Employee Assistance Programme * Electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme through Octopus Electric Vehicles * Flexible working culture with genuine work–life balance and autonomy to manage your diary * Clear development and internal progression pathways Why Apply? * Join one of the UK's largest Housing Associations at an exciting stage in the development of its operational Health and Safety function * You'll be close to the frontline, providing practical support across a large and varied repairs and maintenance operation * With a new team and operational Health and Safety programme being developed, you'll have genuine opportunity to influence how safety is delivered and make a visible impact Apply now through Sustainable Futures Group (SFG) – Global Recruitment Experts in Health, Safety and Sustainability
