Tyre Technician

Our client, one of the UK’s fastest-growing fast-fit automotive businesses, is currently looking for a Tyre Technician based at their retail centre in Matlock. As a Tyre Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out accurate tyre fitting and repairs, as well as supporting with a range of fast-fit mechanical work, including brakes, exhausts and basic servicing. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Tyre Technician looking for a long-term career with excellent training and progression opportunities. Location: Matlock Pay / salary: £29,000 - £31,000 basic depending on experience and qualifications OTE: Approximately £3,600 achievable bonus Shift and schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30, 42.5 hours per week; Saturdays on a rota. Benefits: 32 days holiday including Bank Holidays Achievable performance bonus of approximately £3,600 per year Extensive in-house training programme Career development through training and company growth to boost career progression Staff discounts on servicing, tyres and MOTs Life Insurance Pension scheme Enhanced maternity and paternity leave Retail vouchers and Company discounts On-site parkingTyre Technician Responsibilities: Carrying out accurate tyre fitting, replacements and repairs Completing fast-fit mechanical work, including exhaust and brake repairs and replacements Carrying out basic servicing work Maintaining accurate documentation in line with company policies and procedures Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with industry-leading standards Ensuring customers' vehicles are left clean and free from any dirt, oil or marks resulting from the work carried out Working with the rest of the workshop team to achieve targets Working safely and in line with company health and safety proceduresTo be a Tyre Technician you will need: Valid UK driving licence held for at least 6 months – Essential NVQ, IMI or City & Guilds Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent. Level 2 qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, HGV, LCV or PSV Vehicle Maintenance and Repair will also be considered At least 1 year of experience working as a Tyre Technician A passion for the Automotive industry and a desire to learn and develop further The ability to work effectively as part of a teamOur client: They have over 180 centres within the UK and are actively growing.
