Join us and be part of that journey.What does this role involve day to day?As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll work with cutting-edge technology to keep our manufacturing operations running at peak performance. From troubleshooting and problem-solving to driving continuous improvement, your role will be hands-on and varied.You’ll maintain and optimise a wide range of advanced equipment. Some of our machinery is so specialised that your expertise may even be called upon internationally, offering exciting opportunities to travel as part of a global team.We’ve invested heavily in both technology and people. Whether you see your future in leadership, a different department, or even a different country, JCB is a place where careers grow.This will be suited to you if…You have an electrical bias and experience working with live equipment.You’ve completed an Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship and hold an HNC qualification (or equivalent experience in a live maintenance environment).You’re enthusiastic about learning and excited to work with the latest technology.You’re passionate about how things work and how to make them better, this mindset is just as important to us as your qualifications.We’re particularly looking for engineers with knowledge in the following areasAutomated systems and equipment (Shotblasts, paint plants, overhead conveyors, assembly lines)Electrical and schematic drawingsLow voltage fault findingCNC boards, wiring, and control panelsPLC control systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley)PLC data handling and backupsSafe working with single/three-phase and low voltage (12/24v) systemsAC/DC motors and inverter controlElectrical safety circuits and components (power supplies, drives, transformers)Hydraulic and pneumatic systems and schematicsWhat happens next?Ordinarily, our Resourcing Team reviews and shortlists CVs.
