HGV Class 1 Night Driver -12 months experience

CareerMakers Recruitment are currently looking for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers on behalf of our client based in Preston. Due to continued business growth and high demand, we have both ongoing and ad-hoc night shifts available — offering you flexibility and stability in line with your availability. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out nationwide night trunking deliveries and collections * Secure all loads correctly and safely * Complete pre- and post-use vehicle checks, reporting any defects promptly * Maintain communication with the transport office throughout the shift * Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and returned as required * Maintain a high standard of safety, compliance, and professionalism Requirements: * A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence * CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card * No more than 6 points on your licence – no DR, IN, or TT endorsements * Strong knowledge of driving hours - TACHO rules * Professional, reliable, and able to work independently What We Offer: * Standard rate £17/h or £19/h with holiday included * Overtime rate after 8h £24.75/h or £27.74/h with holiday included * Flexible ad-hoc or ongoing night shifts to suit your schedule * Weekly pay via agency PAYE * Work with a reputable transport client and supportive team * Professional and respectful working environment
