Lead Installer

Lead Installer * Location: Durham * Rate of Pay: £16.50 per hour (based on experience). * Hours: 39 hours per week. * Monday–Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30 * Friday: 07:30 – 12:30 Are you an experienced Metalworker ready to take the lead? We are looking for a skilled Lead Installer to head up a 2-person crew delivering high-quality architectural and structural metalwork. The Role Working as part of a small, focused team, you will oversee the installation of fencing, gates, balustrades, and bespoke steelwork across various construction and refurbishment sites. You’ll be the hands-on lead, ensuring every project meets technical specs and client expectations. Key Responsibilities · Supervise and support your assigned labourer to ensure safe and efficient delivery. · Use CAD and technical drawings to accurately install architectural metalwork. · Conduct final checks to maintain high standards and ensure compliance with site safety requirements. · Communicate with site managers and other trades regarding progress. What You Need · Proven background in metalwork installation is essential. · Ability to read drawings and safely operate welding/power tools. · Full, clean driving licence. · SMAW (Stick) or TIG welding experience would be ideal. · CSCS card, SSSTS, PASMA, or IPAF To be considered for this role click “apply” and submit a copy of your up-to-date CV
