Customer Support Technician

We are looking for someone who can support our products in laboratories across UK, Europe and US - this role will require a week long US trip once every 2 months.

General duties to include:

• Ensure that customers receive world class technical support delivered a timely manner
• Customer site visits for equipment fault diagnosis &repair
• Manage spare part inventory & request orders are placed as & when required
• Working with manufacturing teams when additional support or technical information is needed
• Testing & contribute on new products to the product development teams
• Covering support email & telephone enquiries when required
• Quality & functional checks of products prior to sale when required
• Setting up laptops / installing software ready to be used with the equipment

Education and skills:

• Experience with equipment repairs both in-house and at customer locations
• Excellent trouble-shooting xwzovoh and problem-solving skills
• Experience with direct Customer Technical Support
• Good listening & communication skills
• Be able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team
• Full Driving license and UK passport/Visa for US travel
• Competent with computers, operating systems, & major software products
• Discretion & confidentiality
