Commercial ManagerEdinburghUp to 60,000 + Bonus + Excellent BenefitsPeace Recruitment is working with a major Edinburgh-based infrastructure organisation to recruit an experienced Commercial Manager.This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management background who is looking to move into a client-side environment and take responsibility for the commercial delivery of a varied programme of capital projects.The role would ideally suit someone who is MRICS qualified, although experienced candidates with a strong commercial background will also be considered.The RoleAs Commercial Manager, you will support the commercial and contractual management of projects across the organisation’s capital investment programme.You will work closely with internal project teams, consultants, contractors and other key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered with strong commercial control, effective governance and value for money.Key responsibilities will include:Providing commercial advice across a range of construction and infrastructure projectsSupporting procurement strategy and contractor selectionManaging project budgets, forecasts and cost reportingReviewing valuations, variations and change controlContract administration and commercial governanceIdentifying and managing commercial riskMonitoring contractor performance and financial progressSupporting tendering and contract negotiationsWorking closely with project managers and wider stakeholder teamsProducing accurate commercial reports and recommendationsEnsuring projects are delivered in line with internal procedures and commercial best practiceAbout YouThe successful candidate will ideally have:A background in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a similar disciplineStrong experience within construction, infrastructure or a related environmentExperience working across both pre- and post-contract stagesGood knowledge of procurement and contract managementStrong cost management and financial reporting experienceConfidence working with contractors, consultants and senior stakeholdersStrong commercial awareness and attention to detailExcellent communication and negotiation skillsMRICS qualification preferredExperience working in a client-side environment would be advantageous but is not essential.Salary & BenefitsThe role offers a salary of up to 60,000, alongside a strong benefits package including:Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm32 days annual leave, inclusive of statutory holidaysDiscretionary annual bonus, currently up to 10% depending on company and individual performanceEmployer pension contribution of up to 7%Life assurance at 3x basic annual salaryProfessional membership subscription paidPrivate healthcare after 12 months’ serviceElectric and plug-in hybrid car salary sacrifice schemeFree onsite parkingAccess to onsite occupational health servicesAccess to physiotherapy and podiatry servicesThis is a strong opportunity to join a high-profile organisation and work on a diverse portfolio of projects in a unique operating environment.For a confidential discussion, contact Connor McLardy at Peace Recruitment.
