Peace Recruitment is working with a major Edinburgh-based infrastructure organisation to recruit an experienced Commercial Manager .

This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management background who is looking to move into a client-side environment and take responsibility for the commercial delivery of a varied programme of capital projects.

The role would ideally suit someone who is MRICS qualified , although experienced candidates with a strong commercial background will also be considered.

The Role

As Commercial Manager, you will support the commercial and contractual management of projects across the organisation’s capital investment programme.

You will work closely with internal project teams, consultants, contractors and other key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered with strong commercial control, effective governance and value for money.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing commercial advice across a range of construction and infrastructure projects
• Supporting procurement strategy and contractor selection
• Managing project budgets, forecasts and cost reporting
• Reviewing valuations, variations and change control
• Contract administration and commercial governance
• Identifying and managing commercial risk
• Monitoring contractor performance and financial progress
• Supporting tendering and contract negotiations
• Working closely with project managers and wider stakeholder teams
• Producing accurate commercial reports and recommendations
• Ensuring projects are delivered in line with internal procedures and commercial best practice

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• A background in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a similar discipline
• Strong experience within construction, infrastructure or a related environment
• Experience working across both pre- and post-contract stages
• Good knowledge of procurement and contract management
• Strong cost management and financial reporting experience
• Confidence working with contractors, consultants and senior stakeholders
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• MRICS qualification preferred

Experience working in a client-side environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

Salary & Benefits

The role offers a salary of up to 60,000 , alongside a strong benefits package including:

• Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm
