About the role
Overview
We are recruiting for three permanent posts within the Old Age Psychiatry Inpatient Mental Health Team at NHS Fife. Two posts are based in West Fife at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, and one post is in East Fife at Stratheden Hospital, Springfield.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver full‑time clinical care (10 sessions per week) to older adults in the inpatient setting.
- Work collaboratively with the OA community mental health team and other professional and agency partners.
- Participate in continuous professional development and peer supervision; attend consultant peer group meetings and in‑house educational events.
- Lead and manage change initiatives, with particular focus on developing the non‑medical workforce.
- Support multidisciplinary team colleagues in their professional development and promote teamwork.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
- Eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register; evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or within 6 months of confirmed entry.
- Portfolio Pathway (previously CESR) route doctors must have received the award before applying for a substantive consultant post.
- Non‑UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training and the knowledge, skills, and experience required to practise as an eligible specialist in the UK.
