Are you looking for an exciting Senior Nursery Room Leader role in a high-quality Early Years environment based in Crowborough, East Sussex?
We are looking for an experienced, confident and passionate Senior Nursery Room Leader to join a supportive early years team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior position within a nurturing setting where children are encouraged to learn, play, and develop in a stimulating environment. You will play a key leadership role in delivering outstanding early years care and education, with genuine opportunities for ongoing professional development and progression into management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and delivery of high-quality, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
Take a senior leadership role within the room, supporting and mentoring practitioners to maintain excellent standards
Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children
Act as Key Person, overseeing children’s learning, development, wellbeing, and care needs
Monitor, assess, and record children’s progress, sharing updates and milestones with parents and carers
Build strong, trusting relationships with families through clear and effective communication
Support safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety compliance across the setting
Drive continuous improvement within the room, contributing to overall nursery quality and standards
Ideal Candidate:
Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years Education (essential)
Significant experience in an Early Years setting, ideally as a Room Leader or in a senior nursery role
Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child protection requirements
Confident leadership skills with the ability to support, motivate, and develop a team
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Passionate about early childhood development and delivering outstanding care and education
