The Opportunity
- Join a highly regarded Private Client team recognised by both Legal 500 and Chambers High Net Worth.
- Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs and business owners on a broad range of private wealth matters.
- Lead on complex estate planning, inheritance tax mitigation and asset protection strategies.
- Advise on the creation and administration of trusts including structures linked to family investment companies.
- Handle the administration of estates, often involving significant assets and complex tax considerations.
- Provide advice on lasting powers of attorney and Court of Protection matters.
- Supervise and develop junior members of the team whilst contributing to the wider growth of the department.
- Play an active role in strengthening existing client relationships and generating new business opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
- An established Wills, Trusts & Probate Partner or senior private client lawyer with partnership aspirations.
- Strong experience gained within a national firm or highly regarded regional practice.
- Extensive knowledge across wills, trusts, estate administration, tax planning and probate matters.
- STEP qualification or working towards STEP accreditation would be highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage and develop long-standing client relationships.
- Experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers.
- Strong technical expertise combined with excellent interpersonal skills.
- A commercial approach to business development and practice growth.
- A following or referrer network would be welcomed but is not essential.
