Managing Surveyor - Social Housing

We are recruiting for an experienced Managing Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of a major, long-term contract within a well-established and financially secure organisation. The Role As Managing Surveyor, you will: Lead and inspire a high-performing commercial team Take full ownership of contract commercials, including cost control, forecasting, and reporting Manage risk and identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiency Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Analyse and interrogate data using advanced Excel skills, including working with SOR codes where applicable Prepare and present commercial reports to senior leadership Support operational teams to align commercial and service delivery objectives Drive continuous improvement across the contract About You We're looking for someone who can bring: Proven experience in a commercial or surveying role (e.g. Managing Surveyor, Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor) Background in construction, property services, or asset management Strong commercial acumen with experience in contracts, cost control, and financial management Advanced Excel and data analysis skills Experience leading teams and managing stakeholders The ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve commercial challenges Knowledge of SOR (Schedule of Rates) is advantageous, but not essential Benefits Profit share scheme Enhanced pension or savings scheme (up to 7%) Private mileage scheme and fuel card Life, medical and income protection insurance Flexible annual leave (buy/sell options) Enhanced maternity and paternity pay Employee assistance programme, including health, wellbeing, financial and legal supportThis is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a strategic leadership role or take the next step in their commercial career within a stable and supportive environment.
