Position: Welder Salary: £46,000 per annum Location: Luton Hours: Monday - Friday Week 1- 6am - 2:30pm Week 2 2:30pm - 10pm Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Welder to begin work for a leading manufacturer in Luton. Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Welder to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained. Job Responsibilities: Obtain authorisation from the Welding Engineer or Welding Specialist before undertaking coded welding Set up and prepare weld surfaces and equipment Ensure all welding equipment is inspected and calibrated prior to use Monitor consumables and support stock control activities Maintain rod stores and record temperature/humidity levels in line with procedures Log work using ERP systems (e.g. Epicor) to maintain booking compliance Meet production routing times and customer requirements Maintain high standards of quality, health & safety and housekeeping (5S) Adhere to all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives What you will need: Time served welding apprenticeship Minimum 5 years' experience as a coded welder in an engineering environment Ability to weld to coded standards and maintain coded welder certification Ability to weld open-root pipe or plate using TIG (GTA...
