About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and professional Minibus Driver to provide safe and punctual transportation for our staff members travelling to and from work.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring our care team can arrive at work on time for their shifts and return home safely after work, helping us maintain high standards of care for our residents.
Working Hours 37.5 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday
The role involves two daily transport runs:
Morning collection service: Staff arrival at the nursing home by 8:00am
Evening return service: Staff departure from the nursing home at 8:00pm
Additional hours may occasionally be available to cover staff absences or operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Safely transport nursing home staff between agreed collection points and the nursing home.
Ensure all journeys are completed punctually and efficiently.
Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
Keep the minibus clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
Adhere to all road traffic regulations and company policies.
Maintain a courteous and professional manner at all times.
Assist with basic administrative records, including mileage and vehicle inspection logs.
Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence.
Category D1 entitlement (or equivalent qualification permitting minibus driving).
Excellent driving record and commitment to road safety.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Previous experience driving a minibus or passenger vehicle is desirable but not essential.
