SEMH Teaching Assistant 1:1 Support (Year 11 Female Pupil) Location: Derby Days: Mondays & Thursdays Hours: School hours (term time) Start: ASAP Contract: Long-term, ongoing Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Role We are looking for a calm, supportive and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 11 female pupil , focusing on confidence-building, emotional regulation and engagement in learning .

You will work closely with the pastoral team and class teachers to help the pupil feel safe, supported and confident both in and out of lessons.
Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 support to a Year 11 female pupil with SEMH needs Build confidence, self-esteem and positive learning habits Encourage engagement in lessons and promote independence Use a calm, nurturing approach to support emotional regulation Work collaboratively with staff to ensure consistent strategies Maintain clear, professional boundaries and follow safeguarding procedures About You Wed love to hear from you if you have: Experience supporting pupils with SEND/SEMH needs A patient, empathetic and encouraging approach Strong relationship-building skills The ability to remain calm and consistent Experience supporting xwzovoh confidence-building or mentoring young people Requirements Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Right to work in the UK Recent, relevant references Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing How to Apply If youre passionate about supporting young people and can offer a positive, nurturing presence, please apply with your CV.
