About the role
We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to work on a permanent basis for a large engineering company based near Ashton Under Lyne.

Salary is c£40-42,500 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, pension, bonus etc.
The role is working within the Aerospace industry but our client will consider candidates from other manufacturing backgrounds.
Ideally you will be trained as an Internal Auditor, but if not, our client is willing to put you through the qualification.
Main Duties for the Senior Quality Engineer: Conduct EN9100 lead audits across internal business units, presenting findings to senior leadership and stakeholders where appropriate.
Lead investigations into audit-related non-conformances and ensure their timely resolution.
Drive proactive quality assurance initiatives across the division to support compliance and continuous improvement of the management system, using tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, and RCCA.
Maintain ownership and control of document configuration processes.
Review, organise, and verify documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Manage and maintain the Approved Supplier Database, including supplier assessments, periodic reviews, and audits as required.
Use trend analysis to identify improvement opportunities within the organisation.
Support the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the Integrated Management System.
Lead and champion RCCA activities across the business.
Promote best practices and support the mentoring and development of QA/QC professionals across the division.
Senior Quality Engineer experience: Excellent communication skills are essential.
Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
A collaborative team player with a proactive, self-motivated approach.
High level of attention to detail.
Flexibility to work varied hours and/or off-site as business needs require.
Strong customer-facing skills.
A proactive and structured approach to problem-solving.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Experience working within an EN9100 Quality Management System is preferred but not essential. xwzovoh
