The Role The successful Art and Design Teacher will: Teach Art and Design across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available for a suitably experienced Art and Design Teacher) Plan and deliver engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons that inspire creativity Encourage experimentation with a range of artistic techniques and media Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively Contribute to curriculum development within the Art and Design department Promote high standards of presentation, creativity, and independent learning Support extracurricular activities, exhibitions, and whole-school creative initiatives The Art and Design Teacher will play a key role in fostering a stimulating classroom environment where students feel confident to express themselves creatively.

The Ideal Candidate The ideal Art and Design Teacher will: Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification Have strong subject knowledge across a range of artistic disciplines Be a reflective and innovative classroom practitioner Demonstrate the ability to motivate and inspire young artists Maintain high expectations for both behaviour and achievement Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team Applications are welcome from experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers looking to begin their career as an Art and Design Teacher.
