Job Overview: This school caters for students aged 11-16.
Full-time, Monday
- Friday SEN Teaching Assistant role.
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional learning needs.
Support students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored support strategies.
Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
Encourage student confidence, independence and engagement in lessons.
Support behaviour management and emotional wellbeing across the school day.
Assist with classroom preparation and differentiated learning activities.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role in Braintree offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and welcoming school environment, with ongoing professional development and the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' lives every day.
What we're looking for: Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
A patient, empathetic and supportive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
