Toolmaker position

Role – Toolmaker Location – Mildenhall, Suffolk Working hours – Monday to Friday – full time hours – 08.00 – 17.00 Capacity of role – Permanent position Salary – up to £45,000 Per annum Our client is currently recruiting for Toolmaker to join their busy manufacturing team; this is a hands on and pivotal appointment for the team. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to share their knowledge and experience with junior engineers whilst progressing their personal development within the business. This hands-on role involves the creation, upkeep, and enhancement of production tooling within a well-equipped and supportive environment. Main duties will include –  Manufacture, modify, repair, and maintain production tooling and fixtures  Work with traditional toolroom and workshop machinery  Support production by troubleshooting tooling issues and implementing improvements  Assist with tooling trials, testing, and fault finding  Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure tooling reliability and longevity  Maintain accurate documentation relating to tooling and maintenance activities  Work within ISO quality and regulatory standards  Attend occasional UK/international travel for project-related work  Participate in relevant training courses to support ongoing development Candidate attributes -  Proven experience working as a Toolmaker or within a toolroom environment  Experience using toolroom/workshop-based machinery  A qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Toolmaking, or equivalent hands-on experience  A proactive, self-motivated attitude and strong teamwork skills  Confidence with written and verbal communication, including MS Office Skills Required Toolmaker, CNC, Manual machining, machinery, workshop, qualification in mechanical engineering, engineering, engineer, manufacturing, Qualifications Required mechanical engineering qualification, Keywords Toolmaker, CNC, Manual machining, machinery, workshop, qualification in mechanical engineering, engineering, engineer, manufacturing
