About the role
Belmont Recruitment are looking to speak with Substance Misuse Family Worker to support young people (8–18) and their families across Oxfordshire. This role offers the chance to deliver evidence-based interventions, build resilience, and create safer, healthier futures.
You will:
* Carry a caseload of young people and their families across targeted areas of Oxfordshire.
* Deliver trauma-informed interventions, including the Moving Parents and Children Together (M-PACT) programme. Providing specialist assessment, care planning and interventions around drugs and alcohol use.
* Work closely with schools, youth support teams, family centres, and other partners.
* Provide both individual and group support, helping children affected by parental substance use and supporting parents impacted by their child’s use.
* Contribute to a whole-family, trauma-informed approach to service delivery.
We are looking for someone with:
* Experience working with children, young people, and/or families with complex needs.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, harm reduction, and child development.
* Strong communication, care planning, and group facilitation skills.
* The ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings.
* For this role you MUST be a car driver with access to your own vehicle - Mileage is paid.
This position is a 3 to 6 month contract position initially, with extension opportunities and permanent possibilities at the end of this placement.
This role is working full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm for 37.5h a week - you will be required to be in the office for this post for 2 out of the 3 shifts a week, and you will be managing your diary/visits - WFH can be carried out the remaining 3 days but you will be required to get your visits in within the 2 days in the office.
Hours: Full Time- 9am to 5pm
Days: Monday - Friday
Contract: 3 Months (+ongoing)
Salary: £20.00 to £22.00 per hour
