Our client is seeking a proactive and commercially minded HR Manager to join their team in Farnham. This is a standalone position, offering the opportunity to shape the people agenda while remaining heavily involved in the day-to-day operational aspects of HR.

This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, thrives on autonomy and is confident managing everything from strategic initiatives through to employee relations and recruitment.


The Role

As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for the full employee lifecycle, providing expert HR support across the business and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and absence cases
  • Leading recruitment, onboarding and induction activities
  • Advising managers on HR best practice and people-related matters
  • Reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures
  • Supporting performance management and employee development initiatives
  • Managing HR administration, records and reporting
  • Driving employee engagement and wellbeing activities
  • Ensuring compliance with current UK employment legislation
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance the employee experience

About You

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified is essential
  • Previous experience in a standalone HR Manager position
  • Strong employee relations experience with the confidence to manage cases independently
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise a varied workload
  • A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to support all areas of the business
