Senior Conflicts Advisory Lawyer

London, Leeds or Manchester | Full-time | Competitive Salary

A leading international law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Conflicts Advisory Lawyer to join its growing Office of the General Counsel. This is a key hire within a highly regarded team that plays a central role in supporting the firm's global risk and compliance strategy.

In this position, you will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, advising on complex conflicts and confidentiality matters while helping the firm make informed decisions on new and existing client engagements. You will also act as a senior escalation point, offering pragmatic and commercially focused guidance on high-risk and sensitive issues.

Key responsibilities will include:

Advising on conflicts of interest, confidentiality, and related regulatory issuesWorking closely with Partners and fee earners to assess and resolve complex mattersSupporting decision-making on client and matter intake from a risk and reputational perspectiveContributing to the development and enhancement of internal policies and proceduresMentoring and supporting junior members of the team

About you:

Qualified lawyer with strong experience in conflicts within a law firm environmentExcellent understanding of UK regulatory requirements, with exposure to international jurisdictions being advantageousCommercially minded with the ability to provide clear, practical adviceStrong communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholdersAble to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
