Family & Matrimonial Solicitor

We are seeking a technically proficient and empathetic Family & Matrimonial Solicitor to join our highly-regarded, Tier-2 Legal 500 team in Bristol. This role is designed for a mid-level practitioner who is ready to manage a high-quality caseload of complex matrimonial matters. You will work closely with the Head of Department, taking a lead role on mid-to-high-net-worth financial remedy cases while mentoring junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Remedy: Managing complex financial settlements involving business assets, property portfolios, and significant pension structures (£500k – £5m asset range).

• Divorce & Separation: Handling all stages of divorce and civil partnership dissolution proceedings, including international jurisdictional issues.

• Private Law Children: Advising on sensitive Child Arrangement Orders, including relocation (internal and international) and prohibited steps orders.

• Wealth Protection: Drafting and negotiating comprehensive Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements, as well as Cohabitation Agreements.

• Advocacy: Representing clients at Directions Appointments, FDA/FDR hearings, and in the early stages of Children Act proceedings where appropriate.

• Client Management: Maintaining a high level of client care, providing pragmatic advice during emotionally challenging periods.

• Team Development: Supervising and delegating work to Paralegals and Trainee Solicitors to ensure departmental efficiency.
