The Impact You'll Make As a Yard Marshall, youll be the eyes and ears of our busy yard operation.

Youll coordinate vehicle movements, maintain safety standards, and ensure our loading bays run like clockwork.

Your role is critical in keeping our drivers, warehouse teams, and goods moving efficiently without you, the flow stops.

What You'll Do Direct and control the movement of HGVs, 7.5tonne and vans within the yard to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Assist with unloading return items into correct designated unloading areas.

Loading scrap items into trailers Sorting recycling materials, packing/ wrapping Ensure unloaded items designated areas are kept organised, clean and well maintained.

Allocate loading bays and communicate with drivers and warehouse teams to minimise delays.

Carry out yard safety checks, ensuring walkways, bays, and traffic routes remain clear and compliant.

Act as the first point of contact for visiting drivers, providing clear instructions and a professional welcome.

Support the shift manager with operational updates.

What You'll Bring Previous experience in a yard, transport, or warehouse environment preferred Strong communication skills able to give clear, confident instructions to drivers and colleagues.

A calm, safety-first approach, even in a fast-paced environment.

A valid counterbalance forklift licence is desirable but not essential not essential to the role and training can be provided if you would like to be able to forklift.

A can do attitude and plenty of energy Why You'll Love It Here Competitive hourly starting salary rate: £13.50 per hour plus £1.62 per hour holiday pay.

£15.29 per hour rolled up ( without forklift licence) £14.45 per hour plus £1.74per hour holiday pay £16.19 per hour rolled up( with fork lift license) overtime opportunities.

Full time permanent role available.

Temporary to permanent position available.
