- SC Cleared Sanderson Government & Defence Sanderson Government & Defence is supporting a major UK public sector programme and is seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong Denodo expertise to join a high-performing delivery team.

This is a client-facing role within a dynamic data services environment, requiring excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and strong commercial awareness.

You will play a key role in delivering data integration solutions across multiple connected systems, supporting large-scale migration and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Work within a client-facing team to deliver base and integration views across multiple systems Design, build, and optimise data pipelines to support migration activities Develop and maintain automated solutions, including code creation and testing Perform complex data transformations using appropriate programming languages Ensure performance, scalability, and security of data solutions Essential Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience with Denodo, including: Virtual Data Bases (VDBs) Performance optimisation and tuning Query delegation techniques Caching strategies Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) Proven ability to work in client-facing environments Strong communication skills and a proactive, delivery-focused approach Good commercial awareness Desirable Skills Experience using Jira and Confluence Understanding of legacy data warehouse environments within large organisations Additional Information Location: Hybrid working, with occasional on-site workshops (typically a few days per month) in either Telford or Hove Security Clearance: Active SC clearance (or transferable clearance from another UK government department) is required This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-impact government programme while working with modern data technologies in a collaborative environment.
