Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex clinical projects and programmes from planning through execution, ensuring delivery against timelines, budgets, quality standards and objectives.
  • Collaborate with external researchers, clinical partners and organisations to support the design, set-up and delivery of clinical studies.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, proactively identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, coordinating activities across internal functions and external partners.
  • Monitor project milestones, budgets, KPIs and overall performance, providing clear and accurate updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Contribute to clinical development strategies, business cases, governance frameworks, SOPs and project ways of working.
  • Support clinical due diligence and assessment of potential new clinical collaborations and development opportunities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with relevant regulatory, ethical and organisational requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve clinical processes, systems and operational efficiencies.


Requirements

  • BSc or equivalent degree in a life science discipline.
  • Proven experience managing clinical studies or clinical development projects within industry, a charity or a similar research environment.
  • Experience across therapeutics, diagnostics, medical devices or other medical technologies.
  • Experience within global health diagnostics/therapeutics or rare disease diagnostics.
  • Good understanding of different clinical trial phases and clinical research regulations.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and coordinating cross-functional/matrix teams.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing timelines, budgets, risks and deliverables.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
