Lecturer in Construction – T Level (Temporary Cover) Location: Ipswich, Suffolk (on site, no remote working) Rate: £45 per hour Hours: 28 hours a week, Tuesday to Friday Duration: 10 weeks, starting ASAP Henry Blue is working with a well-established further education college in Ipswich to find an experienced Construction Lecturer. They need urgent temporary cover to teach the T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction to Level 3 learners. The role * Teach Level 3 T Level learners in the classroom, on site at the college * Teach topics including surveying, measurement, building technologies, design and science in construction * Plan, teach and assess to T Level standards, supporting learners' progress through the programme What you'll need * A teaching qualification (for example PGCE, Cert Ed, DET, DTLLS or AET) * A Level 3 qualification (or higher) in a relevant construction or built environment subject * Maths and English at Level 2 (GCSE grade C/4 or above) * Experience teaching design, surveying or planning at Level 3 Ideally you'll also have * Experience teaching construction T Levels * Your own teaching resources, so you can start teaching straight away * A home within an hour's commute of Ipswich Why apply? * £45 per hour, paid weekly * A 4-day week, with every Monday free * A short-term booking you can start straight away * A supportive college team and a well-resourced department This role is urgent and the college is shortlisting this week.
