Catering Assistant

Hours: 32.5 or 37.5 hours per week

Pay: £12.71 - £23.26 per hour, depending on shift worked

The Recruitment Co. is currently recruiting Catering Assistants to work within a busy catering environment in the Newry area.

We have opportunities available across both Dining Room and Dish Wash areas. These are temporary positions offering a range of shifts, with an immediate start available.

Pay Rates

• Monday to Friday: £12.71 per hour
• Saturday: £17.92 per hour
• Sunday: £23.26 per hour

Roles & Working Hours

Catering Assistant - Dining Room

37.5 hours per week

Shifts will include:

• 7:30am - 3:30pm
• 10:30am - 6:30pm
• Occasional weekend work will be required

Catering Assistant - Dish Wash Area

32.5 hours per week

Shifts will include:

• 7:30am - 2:30pm
• 1:00pm - 8:00pm
• Weekend work will also be required

Key Duties

Depending on the area you are assigned to, duties may include:

• Assisting with the day-to-day running of the catering service
• Serving meals and refreshments
• Clearing and cleaning dining areas
• Washing dishes, utensils and catering equipment
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Following food safety and health and safety procedures
• Providing a friendly and professional service
• Supporting the wider catering team as required

Essential / Desirable Criteria

• Previous catering experience is preferred
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable and flexible approach to work
• Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Flexibility to work the required shift patterns, including weekends where applicable
