Data Scientist - Team Lead

Lead Data Scientist London (hybrid, 1 day in office every 2 weeks) | £70,000–£90,000 This is a high-impact Lead Data Scientist role within a growing advertising technology environment, offering the opportunity to shape advanced machine learning solutions that directly influence digital campaign performance. You will operate as the technical authority for data science, working closely with engineering to bring models into production and scale their real-world impact. They are a London-based technology business specialising in advertising and media analytics, supporting agencies in understanding and optimising campaign performance. Since launching in recent years, they have grown into a collaborative team of around 50, combining expertise across data science, engineering and digital media. Their SaaS platform integrates with major advertising ecosystems, leveraging large-scale datasets to drive smarter decision-making for their clients. Lead the development of optimisation and predictive models for digital advertising campaigns Build prototypes in Python and partner with engineering to productionise models in Kotlin within AWS Work with large-scale datasets from advertising platforms and external data sources Act as the subject matter expert for data science, supporting model improvement and troubleshooting Collaborate closely with data engineering and product teams to deliver scalable solutions Translate complex data outputs into clear insights for stakeholders Strong commercial experience developing machine learning and statistical models High proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks Exposure to production environments and willingness to work with Kotlin Background in AdTech, marketing analytics, or similar data-rich domains is advantageous Experience with distributed data processing tools such as PySpark is beneficial Flexible, hybrid working with minimal office requirements Opportunity to work on cutting-edge machine learning applications in advertising technology Clear scope for technical ownership and career progression If you’re interested in applying your data science expertise to real-world optimisation challenges in a fast-paced environment, please apply with your CV.
