SEN Maths & English Tutor ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Prospero Teaching is urgently looking for a dedicated and experienced Maths & English Tutor to provide 1:1 support for a Year 9 student based in the SG2 area. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with a young person who is currently working below age-related expectations and requires additional support to build confidence, engagement, and academic progress. The successful tutor will be responsible for conducting baseline assessments and delivering tailored Maths and English lessons to meet the student's individual learning needs. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location: Stevenage - SG2 Position: SEN Maths & English Tutor Type of Work: 1:1 Tuition Start Date: ASAP Duration / Likely Duration: Ongoing Contract Type: Temporary Full Time/Part Time: Part Time Minimum Rate of Pay: £25-30 per hour Hours: 5 hours per week (1 hour per day, 5 days per week) Additional Information Face-to-face delivery only Tuition to be delivered within the school day between 8:30am and 1:15pm Tuition cannot take place between 11:00am and 11:20am due to school break times Baseline assessments required prior to programme delivery EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (desirable but not essential) Minimum 6 months' experience working within a UK school, tuition, or alternative provision setting Experience supporting students with SEN, including Dyslexia, ADHD, and communication needs TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up-to-date CV.
