Key areas of focus will include Corporation Tax, VAT, Transfer Pricing and Withholding taxes in a wide range of jurisdictions. This role would suit someone looking to broaden their tax knowledge and financial services expertise with a global asset manager.Group Tax is made up of a team of tax professionals based in both London and New York. Group Tax work closely with all areas of the business providing advice and assistance on all tax related matters.Primary Responsibilities:Assistance with all management company direct and indirect tax filingsManagement of external advisorsInteraction with auditors on all tax related itemsWork with internal entity controllers to ensure accurate recording of tax items in financial statementsAssist in tax planning, tax related audits and special projects as a result of changes in legislationKeep up to date with legislation and regulation with a view to share knowledge with wider internal teamsAssistance in relation to tax structuring of investment transactionsCollect and review data for use in all tax related filingsProject based work to implement process and system enhancementsOngoing monitoring of investment structures to assess tax related riskAssistance with preparation of internal tax related documentationInteracting with tax authorities to assist with tax auditsKey Requirements / Qualifications: (essential unless otherwise stated)Strong tax compliance and accounting experience to manage all direct and indirect tax filingsHolds arelevant professional qualification(e.g., ACA, CTA) — must be fully completed and certified; candidates with qualifications currently in progress will not be considered3-7 years of relevant work experienceExperience of working in a financial services business or accounting firmExperience of international tax conceptsProficient user of Microsoft productsAbout the Candidate:The ability to develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external clientsAbility to work independently to tight deadlinesAttention to detail with strong analytical skillsAbility to demonstrate strong ownership of responsibilities and deliverablesStrong team ethic and communication skillsGood problem solving skillsPositive and hands on approach to new opportunities#LI-NM1#LI-Hybrid
