CP33388 Workshop Plant Fitter - Tamworth Up to £45,000 Basic + Excellent Benefits Are you an experienced Plant Fitter looking for a stable workshop-based role with a modern fleet, good earning potential, and a company that genuinely values its engineers? I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established plant equipment business that is growing its Tamworth workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fitter who enjoys fault finding, servicing, and getting machines turned around to a high standard without being constantly out on the road. You'll be working on a fleet of Telescopic Handlers including JCB and Manitou equipment, carrying out maintenance, inspections, repairs, and preparation work to keep machines hire-ready. What's on Offer: Up to £45,000 basic salary Full-time permanent position Up to 25 days holiday + bank holidays Additional birthday day off Excellent employee benefits package Stable workshop environment Supportive and friendly engineering team Long-term career opportunity with a growing businessThe Role: You'll be responsible for: Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) LOLER inspections Planned servicing and maintenance Diagnostics and fault finding General mechanical repairs Assessing and repairing machine damage Ensuring equipment is ready for hire quickly and safelyThis is a busy workshop role where quality, efficiency, and attention to detail are highly valued. What They're Looking For: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent) Strong experience working on plant machinery or diesel engines Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability Able to work independently and prioritise workloads Strong communication skills Positive, proactive attitudeDesirable: CSCS CardCandidates from plant, agricultural, HGV, powered access, forklift, or heavy vehicle backgrounds are all encouraged to apply.
