Mechanical Pipefitters - 2 Positions Location: Shrewsbury Hospital, SY3 Start Date: 28/09/2026 Duration: 6 months Pay Rate: £28.00-£29.00 per hour Overtime/Weekends: As and when required Working Hours Monday-Thursday: 07:30-16:30 Friday: 07:30-15:00 Morning Break: 20 minutes, paid Afternoon Break: 30 minutes, unpaid Job Description We are currently looking for 2 experienced Mechanical Pipefitters to work on a 6-month project at Shrewsbury Hospital. The successful candidates will be responsible for the installation of mechanical services, including: First-fix installation of secondary steelwork using Sikla and Unistrut systems. Installation of copper press-fit pipework. Installation of stainless-steel flanged pipework. Reading and working from mechanical drawings. Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with project requirements. Maintaining excellent health and safety standards throughout the project. Essential Requirements Valid CSCS, JIB or equivalent Skills Card - card must state Mechanical Pipefitting. NVQ Level 2 minimum in a relevant mechanical/pipefitting qualification. Valid IPAF certification. Own hand tools. Proven experience as a Mechanical Pipefitter. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings. Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance. Must have the skills and experience required to carry out the duties of the role safely and competently. Desirable Previous experience working on similar hospital or large commercial projects. Own transport.
