This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of site identification, viability assessment and the complete acquisition lifecycle within a highly collaborative team environment. The role focuses on acquiring immediate and strategic residential development opportunities across Hertfordshire and the Northern Home Counties. Key Responsibilities Proactively source, assess and secure profitable land opportunities to feed the ongoing development pipeline. Lead comprehensive market research and site analysis to evaluate the commercial viability of prospective schemes. Formulate robust land offers, development appraisals and internal approval presentations. Coordinate the full due diligence process for prospective acquisitions. Gather and interpret critical data surrounding title, access, planning and environmental factors. Navigate basic technical constraints with a clear understanding of the challenges that must be resolved to unlock a site’s potential. Maintain a strong pulse on local market activity, competing developments and relevant land transactions. Partner seamlessly with internal disciplines including Planning, Technical, Commercial, Sales and Development to ensure project success. Conduct site visits and cultivate a strong professional network of agents, land owners, consultants and industry contacts.Candidate Profile A minimum of four years within a residential or mixed-use land buying or negotiating capacity. Highly numerate and commercially astute with a proven track record of handling data and financial information. A solid grasp of UK planning legislation and policy. Confident in leading due diligence and comfortable identifying technical constraints that require mitigation. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of building lasting relationships with external partners and internal colleagues. An independent operator who thrives in a fast-paced setting while remaining a dedicated team player. Exposure to strategic land or Green Belt sites is advantageous but not essential.Ref: 4501IGApply here… First name* Last name* Email* Phone* Attach your CV* Cover Letter*
