Shackleton Ltd is a Wales-based group of three pharmacies, spanning five generations and over 150 years of community healthcare service. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality NHS pharmacy care alongside innovative private healthcare services tailored to the communities we serve.
Our services include NHS dispensing, Common Ailment Scheme and Independent Prescribing consultations, as well as an extensive range of private services including weight management programmes, ear wax removal, cryotherapy, and aesthetic treatments. Alongside our pharmacy offering, we also operate a Cosmetic and Perfumery retail department and a dedicated photography store.

We are seeking a qualified Independent Prescribing Pharmacist to join our Brecon Road branch in Abergavenny, delivering enhanced clinical services within a progressive community pharmacy setting.
The role will focus on clinical consultations, prescribing within scope of practice, supporting long-term condition management, and working collaboratively with the Pharmacist Manager and wider pharmacy team to deliver both NHS and private services while maintaining the highest professional standards.
The successful candidate will also support day-to-day dispensing activities, branch operations, and the continued development of clinical and private healthcare services within the pharmacy.
Independent Prescriber qualification with registration as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Experience delivering NHS and private pharmacy services
Knowledge of long-term condition management and patient-centred care
Proficiency with pharmacy management and PMR systems
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
Experience delivering additional private services such as weight management, ear wax removal, cryotherapy, or aesthetic treatments would be advantageous
Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge
