Accounts Assistant

• Location: Portadown Area
• Contract: Full-time | Permanent | Office-based
• Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

Reed Accountancy is proud to represent an established and reputable company in the Portadown area who are seeking a motivated and ambitious Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic team, supporting their accountancy function.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Accounts payable, including matching quotation or purchase order to delivery note and invoice
• Purchase invoicing query management
• Review of overdue accounts
• Review of accounts in credit
• Monthly supplier payment run
• Visa/petty cash entry and reconciliation
• Intercompany invoicing and reconciliation
• Cost of sales transactional allocation
• Fixed asset register administration and entry
• Support bookkeeping and audit requirements
• Answer incoming calls, emails, and customer enquiries
• Maintain accurate filing systems (digital and paper)
• Assist with general administrative duties.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2 + years' experience in a similar position undertaking the aforementioned tasks
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• IT literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and accounting system
• Ability to thrive in a busy environment whilst demonstrating a high level of accuracy
• Professional telephone manner and strong communication skills is required
