People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver – Coalville, East Midlands to join our well-established client based in Coalville, East Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress. This role would also be suitable for candidates with experience as a Class 2 Driver, HGV Driver, LGV Driver, Multi Drop Driver, or Delivery Driver.

Rates of Pay

 • £15.75 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

 • RDC or brewery deliveries with no handball (curtain-side trailers)
 • Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
 • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
 • Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured correctly
 • Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
 • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
 • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues
 • Assisting with loading and unloading when required
 • Heavy lifting involved

Essential Skills

To be considered for this role, you will need:

 • Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
 • Minimum of 12 months experience driving Category C vehicles
 • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements (no major endorsements)
 • Valid UK CPC Card and Digi Card
 • Good level of English (spoken and written)
 • Punctual with excellent timekeeping skills
 • Good xwzovoh understanding of traffic laws and regulations
 • Effective communication skills
 • Physically fit due to the nature of the role

Desirable Experience

 • Experience driving commercial vehicles
 • Previous multi-drop delivery experience

Training Provided

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support
