Legal Counsel - In-house Credit Insurance / Transactional

Location: London based, hybrid working. PQE: 2-4.

SSQ are partnered with a major Financial Services organisation to recruit a Legal Counsel to their Credit Insurance team. Working closely with the lean team in a global role, this position will be an advisory role working closely with outsourced clients on complex transactions, credit and lending matters.

Description

• This position will advise internal and external lenders on complex insurance transactions
• The candidate will also need to review and negotiate amendments to policies within the insurance market
• Involving collaboration with internal and external counsel on amending the policy to fit with any variation to transactions
• Manage the end-to-end progress of complex transactions
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external lenders
• Specialist knowledge of the insurance, credit and transactional lending sectors

Experience required

• 2-5 years of post-qualification experience required
• Experience from in-house or private practice will be considered
• Exposure to Credit Insurance or Structured Finance with involvement in complex transactions required
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, building relationships, and presenting to external counsel when required
