About the role
I am supporting a leading clean energy investor, developer, and asset manager with a strong presence across Europe and the UK. Their platform focuses on delivering large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projects, including solar, wind, and energy storage, supporting the transition to a low-carbon future.Their projects span multiple markets, working with top-tier contractors and suppliers to build and operate critical energy infrastructure.Role OverviewAs Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in managing project contracts and supply agreement negotiations across renewable energy construction projects. From organizing tenders through to contract execution, you will support the successful delivery of projects across the EU and UK.You will work closely with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders across project management, legal, and investment teams.Key ResponsibilitiesContracts Negotiation & ManagementLead commercial negotiations, including pricing, delivery terms, warranties, and penaltiesDraft, review, and manage contracts, framework agreements, and purchase ordersPrepare and manage project-specific tender processesIdentify and mitigate contractual and financial risksStrategic ProcurementQualify and evaluate contractors and suppliersDevelop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project and business objectivesSource and assess suppliers for key equipment (solar panels, wind turbines, inverters, balance of plant)Monitor market trends, pricing, and technology developments in renewable energyProject SupportCollaborate with Project Management, Legal, and Investment teamsEnsure procurement timelines align with EPC project schedulesMaintain robust document management throughout construction phasesLead procurement of construction-related insurance policiesSupport budgeting, cost estimation, and forecasting activitiesConstruction Budget ManagementLead preparation of detailed construction budgets in collaboration with Finance and Investment teamsMonitor and control project costs and track variancesUpdate forecasts and support financial reporting throughout the project lifecycleCompliance & Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and environmental standardsSupport ESG targets and operational resilience objectivesPromote ethical sourcing and sustainable procurement practicesSupplier ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with global and local suppliersConduct supplier due diligence, audits, and performance evaluationsEnsure suppliers meet ESG, sustainability, and regulatory requirementsQualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related fieldMaster’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) preferred5+ years’ experience in procurement or supply chain, ideally within renewable energyExperience working on EPC projects is highly desirableStrong knowledge of renewable energy equipment and supply marketsProven contract negotiation and management expertiseAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentFluency in English required; Italian or Spanish is a plusDiscipline(s): Renewable Energy, Grid and StorageJob type: Permanent
