Senior Surveyor - Lease Advisory R&L

Cobalt are supporting a UK property consultancy who are looking to appoint an MRICS Senior Surveyor to join their market-leading Retail & Leisure Lease Advisory team.This is a fantastic opportunity for a recently qualified surveyor to build their career within one of the strongest teams in the sector, advising major institutional landlords across out-of-town retail parks, leisure parks and other retail & leisure assets throughout England and Wales.You'll work closely with experienced Partners while having direct exposure to clients, negotiations and a varied national portfolio.The RoleYou'll be responsible for a range of Retail & Leisure lease advisory instructions, including:Rent reviews, lease renewals and re-gearsAdvising on rental values and lease strategyResearching and analysing comparable rental evidenceReading and interpreting leases and assessing their impact on valueNegotiating directly with tenants and their agentsPreparing reports and recommendations for clientsDrafting Heads of Terms, quoting rents and Calderbank offersSupporting Expert Witness work and Third Party disputesUndertaking property inspections across the UKIdentifying new business opportunities and developing your own client networkYou'll also work closely with colleagues across Asset Management, Investment, Industrial & Logistics and Offices, providing clients with joined-up commercial property advice.About YouWe're looking for someone who is:MRICS qualifiedIdeally 1-3 years PQEExperienced in Lease Advisory / Landlord & TenantKnowledgeable across rent reviews and lease renewalsIdeally experienced within Retail & Leisure propertyCommercially minded with strong written and verbal communication skillsConfident dealing directly with clients and negotiating with agentsAble to manage multiple live instructions and deadlinesInterested in business development and building their own client relationshipsFull UK driving licence and comfortable travelling for inspectionsWhy Join?You'll be joining a highly regarded Retail & Leisure team with an established institutional client base and a strong pipeline of work.The position offers direct Partner exposure, responsibility for key client instructions, national market experience and the opportunity to develop your own profile and client network as you progress.If you're an MRICS surveyor with Lease Advisory experience and are interested in developing your career within the Retail & Leisure market, I'd be keen to hear from you.Get in touch for a confidential conversation or apply directly via Cobalt.
