Job Title: Principal Nuclear Facility Safety Engineering Consultant
Contract Type: Permanent
Principal Nuclear Safety Engineering Consultant What you will need
British nationality as a sole national, with no other nationality held
Five years continuous UK residency
Eligibility to obtain and maintain full UK security clearance
Strong experience delivering nuclear safety cases and hazard studies within licensed or authorised environments
Experience working within regulated nuclear engineering or consultancy settingsSalary and rewards Up to £80,000 plus flexible hybrid working and opportunities to progress into senior technical leadership roles.
Your role
Lead the development and delivery of nuclear safety documentation across complex facilities
Produce safety assessments and technical outputs aligned to regulatory and client requirements
Define and demonstrate compliance against nuclear safety requirements
Support periodic safety reviews for high complexity systems and infrastructure
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers
Collaborate closely with clients and partner organisations to shape safe engineering solutionsYour experience
Proven background developing, facilitating and documenting nuclear safety cases
Strong understanding of hazard identification and safety assessment methodologies
Experience working on nuclear licensed or authorised sites
Ability to provide technical guidance across nuclear or process engineering domains
Professional membership of a relevant chartered engineering institution

Where you will work Hybrid working is available, with access to offices in multiple UK locations including London, Bristol, Glasgow, Plymouth, Fareham and others. Occasional travel to regulated nuclear sites is required.
