Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 75% of your working week in one of the following locations Perth or Portsmouth.Salary: 57,150 - 68,295 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options availableThe roleAs a Technical Manager, you will be a key figure in the management of a 24/7 department. You will support by deputising where required and lead from the front to support and mentor a range of direct and indirect reports within the department.We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills who is also great at motivating and getting the best out of their team.You willSuccessfully deliver the LV Automation and proactive fault management strategy for our SEPD licence area. Under your leadership, you will continue to develop the operational response to faults on the LV network, while enhancing our proactive focus.Embed best practice in the operation of low voltage automation and monitoring technologies, ensuring robust KPI metrics are developed, monitored, and outperformed across regional operational teams. Work with the Network Innovation team to monitor market-leading developments in technologies and approaches, placing SSEN at the forefront of new and emerging LV Network practices. Through building strong relationships with your key stakeholders, both internally and externally, you will support the adoption and implementation of new practices and approaches so that they become business as usual.Develop a customer-first culture, placing focus on restoring supplies promptly and considering the impacts on those affected by an interruption.Actively promote the safety culture and constructively challenge unsafe behaviour. You haveExtensive operational knowledge of Low Voltage Network Operations.Experience of managing teams, projects, and high value programmes either through direct employee workforce and/or third-party contractors.Awareness of the needs of key stakeholders and customers from an electricity distribution business, focussed on improving customer outcomes and experience.The ability to promote and engage on safety at all levels to instil a high performing safety culture.A minimum HNC educational qualification in Electrical Engineering (desirable) or equivalent industry experience.About SSESSE’s purpose is to provide energy needed today while building a better world of energy for tomorrow.
