A well-established private office is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to take ownership of financial operations across a multi-faceted portfolio of interests.

This is a rare opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join a small, close-knit team at senior level, with genuine scope for the role to grow alongside the office.


Reporting directly to the principals' representatives, you will take full ownership of financial control, reporting and cash management, working closely with external advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the office's finances.

 


The Head of Finance role:



  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and reporting


Prepare regular management accounts and variance analysis across multiple areas of activity


Monitor and control expenditure, ensuring accuracy and strong financial discipline throughout


Maintain robust internal controls and oversee reconciliation of accounts


Liaise with external accountants, auditors and financial institutions as required


Provide financial insight and guidance to support decision-making at a senior level


Act as a trusted point of contact for financial matters, handling sensitive queries with discretion and professionalism


Review and improve financial systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy


Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements



Requirements



  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience


Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar senior finance role


Strong background in financial control, reporting and cash management


Excellent xwzovoh working knowledge of Excel; experience with modern accounting software


Highly discreet, with the ability to manage sensitive financial information professionally


Commercially minded, highly organised and results-driven


Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal


Comfortable managing competing priorities across multiple areas of responsibility



Schedule: Full time, permanent, Monday to Friday, core business hours, Central London based
Salary: £90,000 – £110,000 GPA, DOE (flexibility for an exceptional candidate) + Bonus + Benefits
