Elite 360 Resourcing is recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing company for an experienced CNC Miller/Turner to join their growing machine shop.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Machinist, CNC Setter, CNC Operator or CNC Programmer looking to work within a modern precision engineering environment, manufacturing high-quality components for a range of industries.


The Role

You'll be responsible for setting, operating and, where required, programming CNC milling machines to manufacture precision-engineered components. Working from engineering drawings, you'll ensure products are produced accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate CNC milling machines.
  • Program CNC machines where required.
  • Manufacture precision components from engineering drawings.
  • Carry out machine set-ups, tooling changes and offsets.
  • Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment.
  • Ensure work meets quality and customer specifications.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
  • Work closely with the production team to meet manufacturing deadlines.

Essential

  • Previous experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
  • Proficient in using either Heidenhain or Fanuc CNC control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience setting tooling, offsets and machining precision components.
  • Strong understanding of machining techniques, tooling and tolerances.
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment to inspect finished components.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • A positive, reliable and proactive approach.


Desirable

  • CNC programming experience.
  • Experience machining large or complex components.
  • Manual machining experience.
  • Previous experience within precision engineering, heavy engineering or general manufacturing.
