Quantity Surveyor / Senior Surveyor

Senior Chartered Building Surveyor Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working) This is an opportunity for a Senior Building Surveyor to join a respected multidisciplinary property consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality Building Surveying services across the education, public sector and retail sectors . Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of newly secured projects, they are looking to appoint a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to join their Birmignham team. This is a client-facing role with a 70% project and contract administration bias , offering exposure to a wide range of refurbishment, maintenance and remedial schemes. Role Responsibilities Lead and manage refurbishment, maintenance and remedial projects from inception to completion Act as Contract Administrator and/or Employer’s Agent under JCT contracts Undertake building surveys, defect diagnosis and technical reporting Prepare specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation Provide strategic advice on asset condition, compliance and lifecycle planning Manage client relationships and deliver clear, high-quality reporting Support and mentor junior surveyors and APC candidates Work across a diverse portfolio including education, public sector and retail assets Candidate Requirements MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor (or close to achieving) Proven experience within a consultancy environment Strong experience in contract administration and project delivery Good technical knowledge of building pathology and construction Experience working across commercial, education or public sector projects Strong client-facing and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently Experience mentoring junior team members is desirable Benefits ~ Salary up to £67,000 (dependent on experience) ~ Individual bonus scheme ~ Hybrid working ~27 days annual leave + bank holidays (with buy/sell option) ~ Private healthcare ~ Pension contribution ~ Professional membership fees paid ~ Structured career development and APC support ~ Clear progression within a growing consultancy Feel free to apply with your CV or contact me on my details on my profile page.
