Engine Dyno/Test Technician We currently have a vacancy for a dyno technician to support our engineering team - bench testing high performance engines.  This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to further their career by bringing their knowledge, passion and skill set to a busy - forward thinking company.  If you are an experienced dyno engineer or a motor vehicle technician seeking a new opportunity and looking to fulfil a new challenge, Nicholson McLaren have countless opportunities to further enhance your expertise meaning that this could be the perfect job for you.  THE COMPANY:   Based near Wokingham, Berkshire our advanced automotive client is a company synonymous with high performance engine development.  Due to continued growth, we currently have a vacancy for a dyno technician to support our dyno activities and work alongside our engineering team.   Operating from our modern facilities, you will be required to carry out all aspects of engine dyno testing, either on our engine dyno test beds or supporting our team using our bespoke (in car) test cell.  You must be proactive, have a confident approach to new challenges, team focussed and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of engine characteristics whilst be willing to learn and take on new challenges.     JOB DESCRIPTION   The successful candidate will be supporting all aspects of engine and hub dyno operation and possess the ability to learn and understand dyno installation, engine testing and operating systems.  The ideal candidate should: -  - Poses an understanding of engine management technology.   - Be confident in willing to learn engine mapping.  - Understand wiring diagrams.  - Be experienced in fault finding diagnosis.   - Familiarity with using engine dynamometers would be beneficial.  - Familiarity with using hub dynamometers would be beneficial.  - Experienced in engine / dyno installation would be beneficial.  - Poses the ability to read & understand technical instructions.  - Must be PC literate.  - Confident in producing written reports.   ABOUT YOU  - Adaptable and open to new challenges.  - Possess a keen eye for quality and attention to detail.   - Happy working alone or as part of a team.  - Conscientious and possess excellent communication skills.  - Ability to continuously work to high standards.   - Flexible attitude & willing to assist with engine build shop activity when required.  BENEFITS   - 40 Hour week - Monday to Thursday.  - Excellent salary negotiable - Depending on experience.   - Auto enrolment pension scheme.   - 23 days paid holiday (increased to 26 days after 5 years) + bank holidays.  - Birthday - Day off.   - Subsidised Private Medical Insurance.   - Free parking.  - Friday - Opportunity to work as overtime.   If you are an experienced engine dyno technician or a motor vehicle technician seeking a new challenge, looking to be part of a family friendly company and make a real difference to our team then please send your curriculum vitae
