Geriatric Consultant - Relocation to Ireland

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Consultant Geriatrician to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive care for older adults.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient geriatric medicine services
• Assess, diagnose, and manage complex medical conditions in older patients
• Lead Comprehensive Geriatric Assessments and contribute to discharge planning
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, therapy, social work, and community services
• Participate in the General Internal Medicine on-call rota, where applicable
• Support teaching, training, and supervision of junior doctors and medical students
• Contribute to clinical governance, service development, and quality improvement initiatives

Requirement

• Specialist registration (or eligibility for specialist registration) in Geriatric Medicine
• Experience managing frail older adults and complex multimorbidities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to patient-centred care, education, and service improvement

What We Offer

• The current Consultant salary scale ranges fr om €238,221 to €286,151 for a 37-hour w eek, with any additional work paid on top of that. There is also €12,000 in CPD funding, €8,000 in innovation funding, generous annual leave, and a public pension scheme.
