Senior Estates Surveyor

Location: North London
Rate: £475 per day (Umbrella)
Contract length: 6 months
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Senior Estates Surveyor to join a North London Local Authority on an initial 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a varied property portfolio, delivering key estate management activities and providing commercial property expertise within a busy public-sector environment.
Key Responsibilities:
·Manage landlord and tenant matters, including rent reviews, lease renewals, regears, lettings and dilapidations.
·Lead complex estate management cases, providing practical and commercially focused advice.
·Identify opportunities to maximise income, reduce costs and improve property utilisation.
·Support valuations, asset reviews, acquisitions, disposals and option appraisals.
·Work closely with Legal, Finance and external stakeholders to deliver effective property solutions.
·Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management.
About You:
·Strong background in commercial estates or asset management within local government.
·Excellent knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation and property transactions.
·Proven negotiation skills and sound commercial judgement.
·Ability to manage a demanding caseload independently and deliver results quickly.
·Relevant property qualification or substantial equivalent experience.
