HGV Driver - Removals and Storage

Job Overview

We are seeking a professional HGV Driver to join our team, with either a class 2 or class 1 qualification to work within our family owned and run removals and storage company. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, customer skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent service. This role offers an opportunity to work with a reputable company that values safety, punctuality, and professionalism. 45 hour working with with good opportunitues for overtime.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries and other commercial vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
Loading and unloading furniture and effects
Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
Secure loads properly to prevent movement during transit
Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
Adhere to all legal requirements related to driving hours, tachograph regulations, and road safety standards
Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues

Qualifications

Valid HGV licence with relevant categories
Domestic removals experience is highly desirable
Good knowledge of UK roads, routes, and traffic regulations
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work within a team
Commitment to safety standards and compliance with legal driving requirements

Pay: £13.26-£15.70 per hour
