Internal Food Auditor

At Avondale Foods we are looking for an Internal Auditor that will be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the organisations internal controls, risk management processes, and governance systems. The role ensures compliance with policies, regulations, and standards while identifying opportunities to improve and mitigate risk. The Internal Auditor will be support to the Technical team to the Production, Maintenance and Hygiene Teams. This role is fully on site and factory-based.

Working Hours- Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30

What you will do;

• Assist in developing the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessment.
• Conduct operational, compliance, audits, including hygiene activities
• Prepare clear audit reports with findings, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Identify potential areas of risk exposure and control weaknesses.
• Provide advisory support on risk mitigation strategies.

What we will need from you:

• Degree in Food Science.
• Professional certifications preferred: Lead Auditing.
• 3+years of internal or external auditing experience.
• Strong communication and report-writing abilities.
• High attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Understanding of risk assessment methodologies.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Adaptability and willingness to work in a fast-changing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to present and manage KPIs such as completion, accuracy and audit recommendations.
