Role Overview - Head of Music, South London
As Head of Music, you will lead a vibrant department, overseeing curriculum development, teaching and learning, and departmental performance across Key Stages. You will play a key role in shaping the school's music provision, promoting creativity, and fostering a strong culture of musical excellence throughout the school community.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Music department across all Key Stages
* Deliver high-quality Music lessons and model outstanding classroom practice
* Develop and implement an engaging and ambitious Music curriculum
* Monitor student progress and drive attainment across the department
* Support, mentor, and develop teaching staff within the department
* Lead extracurricular music provision including performances, concerts, and enrichment activities
* Contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives
Person Specification
QTS and substantial secondary Music teaching experience
* Previous leadership responsibility or readiness to step into middle leadership
* Strong subject knowledge and curriculum expertise
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Proven ability to raise xwzovoh attainment and inspire students
* Commitment to professional development and departmental excellence
